Noted PhD. author Albert Nofi is considered a founder of wargaming for hobbyists and the military. He was associate editor of Strategy & Tactics magazine. His 2001 book The Alamo and the Texas War For Independence is called one of the few balanced and readable ones. He provides battle analyses and addresses many of the myths attached to that part of our history.
