This tour is planned as a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of our game, Quebec 1759, to be released in Summer of 2024.
This deluxe anniversary edition will feature a mounted map, large blocks, and more. Québec 1759 is an elegant wargame that sets up in 5 minutes and plays in under an hour. This classic wargame has been enjoyed by thousands of gamers over the last 50 years. Québec 1759 lets you replay the French-British struggle for control of Québec City in 1759. This battle was won by the English under General James Wolfe and was decisive for the future of North America.

Join Columbia Games’ historians Grant Dalgliesh and Jennifer Deshaies on a tour of Québec City’s storied past. This adventure, curated with the Columbia Games’ fan in mind, will immerse you in epic battlefields, poignant museums, and architectural gems, unlocking chapters in the city’s history. Evenings are yours to explore at your own pace. Wander cobbled streets brimming with charm, indulge in the city’s delectable cuisine, or take a dip in the rooftop pool with breathtaking views. Those who wish can connect with fellow travelers over a friendly game of Québec 1759—or any of our other wonderful games!
For the ultimate adventurers, the journey begins before setting foot on land! Keep scrolling to discover an 8-day cruise option departing Boston on September 6th. This majestic voyage retraces the very water route the British used to attack Québec in 1759 and culminates in a grand arrival at Québec City on September 13th.
Your home base for this tour will be the Québec Hilton, conveniently located footsteps from Old Québec City, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Plains of Abraham, Parliament, and the Quartier Petit Champlain are all just a short walk away, so you can easily explore all the city has to offer. The Hilton’s amenities include:

Itinerary
Our tentative itinerary includes:
- VIP tour of the Citadelle de Québec, the active garrison occupied by the Canadian Royal 22nd Regiment, as well as access to the exhibits in the Regiment’s museum.
- Guided visit to the Plains of Abraham with a visit to the 1759-1760 Exhibit, a tour of the park, and a join in a friendly clash between Generals Wolfe and Montcalm.
- Guided tour of Place Royale, where Samuel de Champlain founded the City of Québec in 1608.
- Experience Immersion Québec – a virtual reality 3D movie that allows you to relive key moments in the founding of Québec City.
- Guided tour of the Château Frontenac highlighting 400 years of history.
- Half Day trip to Montmorency Falls and the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré.
- Day trip to the Ile d’Orleans, where the British first landed in 1759.

The price for the tour is $3499 for 2 people based on double occupancy ($2450 for single occupancy) and includes a signed, personalized copy of the 50th Anniversary deluxe edition of Quebec 1759.
