Slapshot Hockey Card Game

What is Slapshot?

Slapshot is a wheeling, dealing game for hockey fans. Each player assumes the role of team manager. The object is to skillfully manage your team into the playoffs and then win the championship. During the regular season you can improve your team with drafts and trades, but injuries can upset the best of plans. Ultimately, your skill as manager determines if your team wins or loses.

Very nice and light game, pure FUN. I bring this to the playing table a lot, and it’s a lot of fun every time. truely loving the game, a bit surprised about the ‘low’ rating…

Tom Dalgliesh & Alan Moon game. Superb, Flawless game. The best light game i have ever played. You start to grow fond of the various players and everyone laughs and has a great time. We try to play with 5-6! The version I play uses players from Power Play, Phantoms of the Ice & Slapshot editions.

The passage of time, and my own work as a designer, have only deepened my appreciation for this superlative game. “Funny” is incredibly hard to pull off; this game never fails to deliver great laughs, and more importantly, fun and memorable moments. A true classic.

The mechanics of drafting, trading, or playing are great, the artwork and humor is excellent, and there are many decisions to make throughout, especially towards playoff time. A great game for several players.
