Pragmatism, ideology, and action are the hallmarks of the Order of the Pillar of Fire. By focusing on evangelization and attracting adherents from among both the military elite and the common man, the order has long distinguished itself from Agrikan sects more steeped in mysticism and secrecy. Although this approach brought the Pillar of Fire to prominence, it has also led to its downfall. Today, the order's few clerics on Hârn are scattered and in hiding, plotting revenge on those they see as responsible for their disgrace. The Ivinian branch of the order, however, remains strong and is embroiled in Menglanan politics.
